Died the second time in October 2003 at University of Alabama (Birmingham).September 30, 2003 - November 14, 2003, Bishop Kenneth Sims endured three major operations: ? Brain surgery (found an inoperable, golf-ball sized tumor embedded in the occipital area of the brain); ? Open-heart surgery (removed liter of fluid); and ? Transplanted kidney extracted (infected, nerf football size enlargement). This highly motivational speaker accepted Jesus in 1976; started evangelizing as a soldier (Army/Marine) outside nightclubs in Europe in 1978; exemplified the gospel through martial arts exhibitions in churches/schools (fifth degree black belt); continues ardently propagating the gospel as a kidney dialysis patient - convinced that he's healed by Jesus' stripes. Born March 23, 1956, native of Meridian, Mississippi. Attended Church of God Bible Institute - Augsburg, Germany; Rogers Lane Minister's School - Lawton, Oklahoma; Pastor/Founder of Living Word Outreach Center - Lawton, Oklahoma, and Dayspring - Meridian, Mississippi - nineteen years.
