Move Mountain gives an eye witness account of the day to day issues and concerns experienced by an increasingly growing population: African-American, middle-class, female, single parents. No matter the depth or breadth of life's situations, the women studied are trailblazers as they articulate socio-economic issues while gaining the necessary tools to ensure success. It can be a daily daunting experience as these women hold decision making positions in the workplace, attend public colleges and universities and try to balance a middle-class family lifestyle in an environment that operates at a deficit. These ground breaking accounts are sure to be a guiding light for any single, female, parent in pursuit of an advanced educational degree that leads to a better quality life.
