Sebastian Cheney is the pen name for Marcus Sebastian Mason, former senior staffer for two California Members of Congress. The author is a seasoned political professional, who successfully managed political campaigns at the Federal and local levels, winning his first congressional campaign at the age of 21 before becoming Chief of Staff to a United States Congressman at age 22. A native of Compton, California, he is a graduate of Carson High School and was a decorated member of the school's nationally ranked and championship football teams. He attended Arizona State University where he played football and received the Citi-Bank Scholar Athlete Award and is a graduate of the California State University Dominguez Hills with a degree in Political Science. He studied English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Maryland's University College in College Park, Maryland. Sebastian Cheney presently resides in Washington, DC and is the proud father of a teenage daughter, Taelor.
