Synopsis

Up and down the Eastern Seaboard electric lights illuminate dark nights. Telephones are gathering popularity, and Teddy Roosevelt is soon to become President of the United States. In Los Angeles, a mixed group of real estate brokers, financial promoters, and politicians are organizing a land development company to build a desert resort consisting of a hot springs hotel and casino. The location they wish to construct this resort on is a simmering green oasis already settled by Mormon Farmers. The fight for this valley begins, and plots of murder, deceit, and sex are all thrown into this mixture as The Mormon Church sends a militia force to the valley, and the land syndicate tricks the US Army into assisting them to steal the valley. In Mexico a natural catastrophe begins to form and start north in the direction of the disputed valley All of this mixture is thrown into a melting pot of terror and death as the desert takes back its own..

Biographie de l'auteur

Don R. Harris is a vanquisher of life. He has traveled extensively, and held a great variety of jobs; from working as a lumberjack, a cowboy, river runner, professional card dealer, and soldier of fortune, Don has survived near death several times during his life, and spent 3 months in a coma. Upon awakening, he was labeled, The Miracle Boy. He tramped through rice paddies and the thick jungles of Southeast Asia. He graduated from college with a BA degree in journalism and wrote for several newspapers across the country. Don has published four other novels to date, and is now working on a new adventure. He currently lives in Crescent City, California.
