Set in Indianapolis in 1948 in the jazz clubs along Indiana Avenue, High C at the Sunset Terrace is the story of the triumphant love between trumpeter Marvin Turner and singer Cheryl Johnson. Al, the club's proprietor, encourages them to get together, but circumstances force him to sell his establishment, and the new owner is determined to pull them apart, even if he has to resort to sinister means. This is a story of commitment to one's vision and a celebration of community and loyalty. What Marvin and Cheryl share becomes a force for healing and inspiration for all those in their lives.
