Biographie de l'auteur

Both Derek Harkema and Greg M. Romaneck have been working with children, adolescents, and families for many decades. In those years both of these professionals have dedicated many hours to the task of helping youngsters with ADHD and their families to better cope with the needs that are manifest within this condition. In addition, both Mr. Harkema & Mr. Romaneck have had direct familial experience with the nature of ADHD. Professionally, Derek Harkema has worked as a clinical social worker, therapist, advocate, and consultant in a broad range of therapeutic domains. Mr. Romaneck has served as a professional educator with extensive experience as a special education teacher, supervisor, and director. At present Mr. Harkema is working as a private consultant and therapist in Seattle, Washington. Mr. Romaneck is serving as the Director of Human Resources for the Batavia School District #101 in Batavia, IL. While this is the first formal publication the authors have undertaken together it is far from their first collaboration. In addition, Mr. Harkema has conducted training sessions not only on ADHD but many other therapeutic topics in venues such as correctional institutions, universities, educational institutions, and many other related fields. Mr. Romaneck is an avid writer who has published over 170 articles, seven books, and over 1200 children's book reviews. In his spare time Mr. Harkema enjoys racecars, the out of doors, travel, and Internet commerce. Mr. Romaneck takes time to go on wilderness backpacking excursions, cross country bicycling, reading, writing, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends.
