Steven has been a Sys Admin/Engineer for over 15 years, covering operating systems from SVR3.2, Microsoft Windows, RedHat Linux, HP-UX and, of course, the many versions of Solaris. He has a background with scripting in KSH, SH, and Perl, as well as application development in C and VB. Â He was the Lead Backup and Recovery Engineer for Washington Mutual Bank, and am currently the Western region's Regional Technical Consultant for EMC's Backup, Recovery and Archiving (BURA) practice, supporting 5 other Local Technical Consultants, and covering over 100 Enterprise level accounts. I have been published in SysAdmin Magazine (Aug 1999), discussing aspects of Fibre Channel and its implementation within the environment in which I worked at the time. I currently hold a Brocade CFP, EMC Backup and Recovery Specialist certifications, as well as various UNIX Operating system certifications.
