Dr. Donald Cheek went from a Harlem ghetto childhood to the academic world of a university professor. In addition to his "street" credentials he studied at Temple University in Philadelphia where he received a doctorate degree in Social Psychology and has taught throughout the United States and the world. Dr. Cheek recently retired as Professor of Education, California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, after 22 years of service.
