Sumner Wilson is a retired railroad trainman, switchman, and brakeman. He took up writing in motel rooms to bedevil time while waiting to "get-out" on homebound trips. He is the author of a previous novel, "Billy in the Lowground." Wilson's short stories have appeared in Cappers, Big Muddy, a journal of Southeast Missouri State University, and he has sold two-dozen stories to Sterling/McFadden Holdings, Inc. He has had stories published in Frontier Tales, an online magazine. He lives with his wife in rural Phelps County, Missouri.
