This study examines China's global image in six major Islamic countries under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Analyzing Islamic English news media, it finds that China's relevance to the Islamic world has increased under the BRI which buttresses China's economic and technological image, but its political image still remains negative.

Muhammad Khalil Khan is an accomplished academic and researcher, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Journalism and Communication at NingboTech University, China. He earned a Ph.D. degree in Journalism and Communication from Zhejiang University, China, where he was awarded the honorary credential of "Outstanding International Graduate" in 2017.
