Because I was introduced to loss and subjected to hurt and pain early in life, I developed an unhealthy opinion of life's expectancies. I am sure that what I experienced, because of my mother's untimely death, was well outside the normal lessons that most children would receive this early. This is a chronological account of my life as I remember it.I speak of relationships, events, and circumstances that I experienced and how they affected me. I have attempted to show the path that I traveled and showcase their outcomes by outlining the correlation of experiences from decisions to actions to results.I believe that, as you experience my walk through these pages, you will see the path that you have walked and be able to relate, first hand, to what I have discovered. Because we are the sum total of all of life's experiences, we must make each day, each situation, and each opportunity count. We must always be very careful when making decisions. I am so excited about my life today and the prospects of each new day, a day filled with opportunity, experience, etc., because I have come to know who I am and whose I am. I realize that the awareness of self and maker are the ultimate keys to having that lasting "peace that surpasses all understanding." You will be able to live each day to the fullest, in harmony with God and man.I hope that you will enjoy The Path To My Healing and gain a new understanding of yourself. Born Jane Elizabeth Beale, August 22, 1951, in Norfolk, Virginia to a single mother, I was the eldest of two girls. As a result of the untimely death of my mother, I experienced much loss and hurt throughout various periods of my life.I was briefly educated during my early years in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The bulk of my education, however, was received in Virginia. The educational diversity gained partly in the North and partly in the South allowed me to view the world in a much different light than many of my peers.My younger sister, and I lived with several family members. Repeated physical and emotional losses manifested in my tendencies toward shyness and withdrawal. With the passing of time, I grew to understand that the security I sought through love from others could be attained only through a personal search. I would never have the love and security of my mother again, and therefore could not depend on others to meet those needs.My greatest desire was to be a part of what I had envisioned a complete family would be. I wanted to feel love as part of a family unit, and I didn't know how to go about fulfilling those and other desires without others in my life. Once I had an experience with God through His son, Jesus, I began to know the "unconditional love" of the creator and the security that comes only through trusting in Him. I want to relate the path that I experienced in hopes that it may set off the desire within you to discover your path to healing. I hope that you will enjoy The Path To My Healing.
