A propos du livre

À propos de l'auteur

Robert VanHoose began writing and publishing "Homily Grits" Devotional Books in 2003, and currently has 6 of these books in circulation in print, as well as through daily internet e-mailings to some 25 countries, and through www.homilygrits.com web site. It may seem strange for someone to go to business man, horseman, real estate developer, and lay church leader into a ministry of the Word, but this is the way God has worked it out in the life of Robert VanHoose. Bob's understanding of Scripture is based on a 50+ year walk with the Lord, many years of which have been spent teaching and growing the the Word through study of the Bible teachings of some of the great Bible teachers of the past 50 years. Bob has been actively involved in small group ministry since attending a Promise Keepers Small Group leaders training workshop in 1996. One of Bob's Promise Keepers groups still going in 2008 was used as "guinea pigs" for this study. They went through the study unaware of the author, and their reaction and feed back from each lesson were used to edit and "tweak' this study. Robert and Lorna (his wife since 1952) live in Ocala, Florida where they remain active in the ministry of the Word. Robert takes very seriously James' admonishment that those who teach will be judged by God with greater strictness (James 3:10) and leans soley on God's grace that this study will be pleasing in His sight.
