Synopsis
Thirteen-year-old twins Andrew and Kristine Taylor live with their Godparents Levi and Beatrice Grangely, since their parent's tragic plane wreck the year before. While hiking in the Cold Hollow Mountains, in Fairfield Virginia, Andrew happens upon an ancient crystal locket, which when opened, whisks Andrew, Kristine and their dog Chaz somewhere far back in time, in fact, 1250 B.C., in Thebes, Egypt to be exact! They have changed age and appearance, and are more than shocked to meet their guide, Copycat, a two-headed cat with a double personality! The twins' lives are turned upside down when they find out their parents are not dead, only trapped in time, but that the twins were chosen to finish a mission that their parents failed to, which if not completed, would have drastic consequences for not only them, but the future as well.

Biographie de l'auteur
Julia Lawrence is the pen name for the father-daughter writing team, Julia Nielsen and Lawrence Tooley. Julia is the mother of three children and one granddaughter. She has a twin brother, which the main character, Andrew, is patterned after. You could call her a jack-of-all-trades writer, turned novelist. She has written for newspapers, magazines, websites, blogs, and for corporate companies. The first book and second book in The Crystal Locket series, Key to the Tunnels of Time & Secrets of the Hidden Pyramids, was previously released with Argus Enterprises International. The third book, titled Mystery of the Thirteenth Skull, should be forthcoming spring, 2015. She has previously published Stepping out of the Dark with Chipmunka Publishing, in London. She loves to read, write and be with her family, including spending time with her kids and their friends, making her feel young again! She is currently writing the fourth Crystal Locket book with her co-author and father, Lawrence Tooley. Lawrence is the author of the hugely popular non-fiction book I Saw Heaven, with Cedar Fort Press, which stayed in the top ten for over two years, and is still selling after eighteen years. He and his wife have seven children, twenty-three grandchildren and four g-grandchildren, and they reside in McEwen, Tennessee. He is busy writing the fourth book in The Crystal Locket series with his co-author and daughter, Julia.
