They continue the author's contrary and challenging approach to managing risk, first started in Risk Management Reports and later in Mumpsimus Revisited, published in 2005.

Biographie de l'auteur

Henry Felix Kloman is a long-time student of the discipline of risk management. A graduate of Princeton University in 1955, he served two years in the U. S. Navy, joined an insurance brokerage firm in Philadelphia and then formed, in 1970, a risk management consultancy in Darien, Connecticut. He founded Risk Management Reports in 1974, a periodical that continues to this day and is the source of the essays in this book. He merged his consultancy with Tillinghast-Towers Perrin in 1985, from which he retired in 1993. Over his career he has lectured on risk management in North America, South America, Europe and Asia and has authored more than 200 articles. He and his wife Ann, a mystery writer, live in Lyme, Connecticut, and Tenants Harbor, Maine, where he writes, sails, rows and plays a slow brand of ice hockey. They have four children and nine grandchildren.
