About the Author Winnely Joyce, born and raised in Houston, Texas, became interested in creative writing while working at college libraries. Listening to her 90 year old mother's vivid, recollections of her life experiences over the past nine decades, prompted her to document a historical tribute to her. Thus, her first book entitled "Vita's Legacy" was published in 2004. Her other interest is photography. One of her photos placed in a contest and published in a volume called "Optical Illusions". Then, another was used in the cover design of "Vita's Legacy". Married over 35 years to her husband, Charles, they have three children, Natalie, Kevin and Cicely, in addition to seven grand children.
