Biographie de l'auteur

Virginia Mary was born of Irish immigrant parents Arthur and Virginia Lenaghan in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In grade 5 she discovered her writing ability. Her poem, selected best in the class gave her the honor of reading the poem to the school. In highschool she served as Sports Editor. Her desire was to attend college and study Journalism. Due to financial difficulties, her dream of college never materialized. In 1951 Virginia married Frank Guertler and began a family. Relocating their family to Staunton, Virginia in 1965 she entered a local poetry contest winning first place with "Hide the Clock Away".
