Professor J. Gabriel Santana, was born in Los Angeles, Ca. on 3/18/24 to Mexican parents. Two years after his birth he moved with his family to Mexico. He was educated in Mexico in Forestry and Agriculture. In 1943 he returned to the USA to serve in the US Army during World War II. From 1962 to 1972 he worked for the Apollo Mission Space craft in Design and Development. Professor Santana began writing about language teaching in 1982. He became aware of his inability to speak English after 3 years of preparing for college in Mexico. He began to write a text book in bilingual form. He stumbled on "conceptual translation." He is currently working on his biography of his life.
