Illustrate each operation in Fractions with objects, or with drawings, cuttings, foldings, etc. Develop the principles in Compound Numbers by actual work with the yardstick and other common measures. In Percentage and Interest illustrate with objective work as in Fractions. Generally: 1. Teach facts before definitions, principles before rules. 2. In analysis encourage completeness in the chain of reasoning and accuracy of expression. 3. Insist upon neatness and orderly arrangement in the forms of written work.
