Présentation de l'éditeur

In the uniform entrance requirements now generally adopted by our colleges, Webster s First Bunker Hill Oration and Washington s Farewell Address are placed among the books which are to be carefully studied under the immediate direction of the teacher. It is with the purpose of marking out distinct lines for such study that this edition of these famous addresses has been prepared. Together with the Bunker Hill oration, two others of Webster sbest-known speeches, dealing with kindred topics, are here printed, that pupils acquaintance with Webster may not, unless it is absolutely necessary, be confined to the single oration prescribed.
