Dr. Sandy Sela-Smith does not identify herself by what she does, but bywho she is. She experiences herself as an amazing, mystical spark ofGod, something she believes is the core of all of us, a being she is coming to know more and more as she continues to open to express her authentic self in this world. Sela-Smith holds an unusual mix of traditional and non-traditional approaches to her life and work. She has expressed herself as a shaman, not because of what she does, but, because of who she is. The discovery of her true self came about as a result of a more than 20 year personal healing process that allowed her to take off the masks she wore for too many years. More conventionally, she holds national certification as a Clinical Hypnotherapist (CHT 193-341), and earned a PhD in Psychology. She has been licensed as a Mental Health Counselor in both Fl, # MH 6984 and Wash. State, LH00010277, and has NBCC certification 216182. She is a practitioner, who brings mind/body/spirit healing into her work, as a therapist, speaker, and workshop presenter. Sela-Smith is a faculty member of two California graduate schools and is a previously published author, who has, also, produced a healing CDs for people who are suffering from physical and emotional trauma and need to let go and relax; she hopes to add two more CDs in a healing series in the near future.Sandy enjoys expressing herself in photography, which has recently become a part of a Colorado art gallery, and she plans on expanding this aspect of her self-expression.
