I first entered real estate investing market 27 years ago. I was working as an executive and wanted nothing more than to be a horse trainer.I spent time driving through the country where I was living and longed to live deep in the country breaking, and training horses.I found a property that was beautiful and called the real estate agent. It seemed affordable but my wife at that time would not allow me to get into a venture because of my full time job and I was going to college full time to finish my degree that I really did not want.So I creatively found a way to purchase the property. Owner financing with no money down and I worked overtime to pay the payment. I spent every weekend at the property cleaning, cutting brush, and fixing fence. It was great and I loved being out doors instead of behind a desk.Then on a Saturday a neighbor that the property adjoined stopped by and talked to me and asked what I planned to do with the property and commented how nice it looked cleaned up.I stated that I was going to start a horse trading business there. For some reason that disturbed him and on Sunday he once again came over and made me a very lucrative offer to buy the property at a very handsome profit to me for doing nothing except cleaning the property.I sold and immediately started looking for another property and have had my hand in the game every since.It has been a very fun and exciting ride for me and I feel it is time to share what I have learned in this 27 year journey and let others experience what I have enjoyed over the past years.
