Karen Lowry has a B.S.N. degree in nursing from the College of New Jersey and a master's in pediatric nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. She has worked at Children's Hospital as a staff nurse in the pediatric intensive care unit and as a nursing instructor at Holy Family University in Philadelphia. She is also a Parent2Parent certified ADHD family instructor. She and her husband have four children and live in New Jersey.
