À propos de l'auteur

Garland Goodwin is a Tar Heel born and bred. All of his many English teachers in grade school through college read hundreds of his words and encouraged him to write more of them. Due to public response to a letter to the editor of his hometown paper, he was asked to write more "stuff like that." The many columns that followed were not all "like that," but have been well received nonetheless. He is the classic jack of all trades, and observes that of everything he has tried to do in life, he knows personally at least one person who is better at it. But that has not stopped him from designing airplanes and flying them, playing and tuning pianos, designing and building houses, driving and rebuilding sports cars, teaching engineering courses and Sunday School classes, singing in church choirs, and even writing newspaper columns and magazine articles.
