Synopsis

After receiving an incredible intelligence report from the planet Nygel 2, in the Otarian star system, Admiral Fantong is ordered by the STARCORE High Council to redeploy the USS PERFORMANCE to investigate the report. Captain Powers receives his orders from the STARCORE High Council, via Admiral Fantong about the need for an observation post. General Gerhing puts a special clause in the message to the USS PERFORMANCE asking that CW01 Weatherspoon lead the ship's auxiliary force. The general further requests that CW01 Weatherspoon head up the landing party. The Gardenians have put into motion the plan to capture STARCORE's only functional cyborg outside of the laboratory. All that is left now is for the Gardenians to kill anyone involved with the plan so that nothing can connect them to the diabolical seizure. As the mission continues, both the landing party and the ship are plagued with internal and external problems. Many questions suddenly have to be answered such as: How many lives will this operation cost? What are the ramifications? What is the price to be paid by all parties involved? This is Mr. Clacy's 17th book to be published with Iuniverse.com. Mr. Clacy recently relocated to the Denver, Colorado area, calling this his new home. Mr. Clacy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice with Honors from an accredited college. The minor for this college degree was Constitutional Law.
