Synopsis

Henry Prince is a nervous law student who lives in London. One summer he comes across a former school-friend, Rupert, now a spin doctor. Rupert shows Henry a fantasy world, which can be glimpsed through a website. This world contains all sorts of legendary heroes and villains, from human to everything else! Rupert swaps worlds with his look-alike, Rumpelstiltskin. Rupert tries to help some of legend's well known bad guys improve their image. Rumpelstiltskin offers the possibility of limitless gold to a Government minister. Henry, to his very great horror, finds himself transported to the world of legends. There he is known as a hero called Prince Henry and is expected to live up to his name! Ultimately the barrier between both worlds starts to break down, largely because of Rupert's meddling. Henry has to become a big enough hero to set up a new legend of his own, one strong enough to get the fantasy world back on course.

I am a writer, lyricist and occasional performer. My particular love as a writer is comedy-based fantasy with an edge. In 1983 my children's story of 'Magic in Ravenswood' was published by Heinemann. "- good marks for 'Magic in Ravenswood' -- All the characters are well-defined, the ravens of the wood being a nasty, tough crowd. There is enough irony to give it strength to deal with a traditional situation without going soft or silly" Naomi Mitchison in the Times Educational Supplement I adapted the story into a musical, writing the book and lyrics. Called 'Goblins Don't Scare Us' it was the Christmas show at the New End Theatre, London, in 2002/3. "this beguiling tale of bewitchment set in the distant kingdom of Ravenswood is certainly welcome in the midst of Cinderellas, Aladdins and Dick Whittingtons. It is refreshing to find a show inhabiting a more unfamiliar world" Mark Shenton The Stage. 'Goblins Don't Scare Us' won a competition to be performed in Delaware, USA, in November 2008. I have also written the book and lyrics for 'Rock Heaven' a black comedy musical about a murderer, a cannibal, a rock star, a groupie and a lot of cyborgs! I also perform my own lyrics in cabaret In the last few years I have become involved in film. I have written and acted in several short films based on my lyrics. Two are multi-award winners. The third is based on a festival nominated screenplay. I have also acted in other short films. My biggest current project is my feature film script called 'The Road to Transylvania' I am determined to see it made! I live in London, UK. I am now in the fortunate position of being able to spend all my time on my creative projects.
