The author is a 61 year old gentleman living near Eugene Oregon. He and his wife owned a printing business in Bellingham Washington for over 20 years. They are presently building a farm that features fruit and nut trees. He has been a student of history, both social and economic, for more than 30 years. Social Benchmarks is a culmination of those studies, which was developed in the early 1990's, expanded through the years and published in late 2008 .
