Synopsis
"Our Book of Common Faith" is comprised of works done between 2000 & 2008. These mixed media pieces include acrylics, glazes, glues, glitter, jewelry, spices, earth, and other collage material. Stephen Mead tries to keep the wonder of a child going back into a garage sale treasure chest to explore what these mediums can do when set free to roam. Like many of his other works, "Our Book of Common Faith" is also a poetry/art hybrid. The entire is a meditation on diversity in religions and cultures as a uniting force as opposed to a divisive one. It is a work of spirituality which the author hopes that people of all faiths and backgrounds will find stimulating and often passionate.

À propos de l'auteur
In the 1990s Stephen Mead's poems began appearing in literary journals, but after moving to Massachusetts , Stephen concentrated on painting. In 2000 Stephen started seeking publication again for his writing and art combined. Since then his work has appeared internationally. In 2004 Stephen began experimenting with poetry/art hybrids, creating award winning e-books such as "Heroines Unlikely". From there Stephen began experimenting with his art/poems as films. In 2006 Stephen released a CD of poems set to music, "Safe & Other Love Poems", (CDBaby.com), as well as three DVDs, (Indieflix.com). In 2007, print editions of his novels, art and poetry began being distributed by Amazon.com and Blurb.com.
