Synopsis

Treading surfaces is a play on the author's stage name, EnDepth. A follow up to Recesses of a Journey, Treading Surfaces allows for a bit more depth at each pause in the author's journey through life. The subtitle, The Devolution of a Poet, is derived from the compilation style presented in this book. It has been Willie's style to have a strict linear flow in his presentations. However, Willie has chosen to pull from poetry spanning the years from 1999 - 2009. In so doing he has inserted pieces from his younger self throughout this volume so as not to tie any one secition to a particular age or thought pattern. The volume allows the writer to see the growth in the artist, the man, the dreamer.

À propos de l'auteur

Willie Huggins, also known as EnDepth, is in simplest terms a traveler. In the follow-up to Recesses of a Journey (Poetry CD released in 2003) Willie continues to revisit life experiences and the numerous geographic regions he has either lived in or visited during his life. A native New Yorker, Mr. Huggins has also lived and established a home for himself in Houston, Texas as well as Ocala and Gainesville, Florida. He attended college in some form in all three locations and gathered countless experiences in the process. Wille also draws on Trinidadian culture through his mother and the New York sensibilities of his father. An artist at heart he continues to work full-time to support his passion.
