Roland Paris is an associate professor and the director of the Centre for International Policy Studies at the University of Ottawa. Taylor Owen is an assistant professor in the Liu Institute for Global Issues and the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of British Columbia and a senior fellow at the Columbia Journalism School.
