She has earned many awards, including the Jewish Book Award (twice) and the Geoffrey Bilson Award, and has received two nominations for the Governor General's Award. Carol has also written acclaimed contemporary, science fiction and fantasy novels. She lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
