She went on to pursue a medical degree at Newcastle University in the U.K. After graduating in June 2011, and securing a place on the prestigious Academic Foundation Programme, she is currently working as a hospital doctor at the well-known St Thomas' hospital in London and is set to begin research on the pathogenesis of aortic aneurysms.
