BIO OF GERALD BLUMENTHAL Gerald Blumenthal Ph.D. (Mechanical Engineer and Industrial Psychologist) is chairman of Houston-based ESP, a company that evaluates customer service and is a consultant to some of America's largest airports. He is a graduate of three different universities - University of Natal (Durban, South Africa), University of Witwatersrand (Johnnnesburg, South Africa) and The Derby College of Technology (Derby, England). In addition to having written many scientific papers related to the physics of ultra high pressure, Blumenthal was an integral member of the team that pioneered the manufacture of synthetic diamonds in South Africa and has lectured internationally on graphology, mathematic and physics. As a long-time member of Toastmasters International, he is the recipient of many humorous speaking awards. He immigrated to the United States in 1978 with his wife and three daughters and now lives in Houston, close to his five wonderful grandchildren.
