Camille Olivia Strate was reared in New England, in the arms of a very large and boisterous Italian family. She has traveled extensively throughout the U.S., gathering tales and learning the navigate the roads of her life with near-reckless (but not quite) abandon. She currently lives in the foothills of California's Palomar Mountain Range, where she shares her home with a dog named Sophie, a herd of chickens whose names are too long to list, a peacock named Pavo, and an array of wild creatures (the coyotes were here first) whose names change daily.
