Dr. Robert J. Schmitt was formerly the Director of Staff Development and Technology Integration for the Horseheads Central School District in Horseheads, NY until retiring in 2006. Now he consults with schools across the country effectively connecting cooperative learning to learning styles, multiple intelligences, and higher-level thinking. He has presented in over 70 cities across the country in 26 states as well as the Isle of Bermuda and works with many school districts to implement instructional strategies for block scheduling. Bob has been a high school teacher for 14 years and a Staff Trainer/Consultant for 18 years. In 2000, he completed a doctorate degree with a focus on implementing staff development practices.
