Born in Mississippi in 1938, Rufus Franklin Stephenson has been writing down his memories in poetry and prose for over forty years. A consummate storyteller, his first book, From Dixieland to Frisco Bay, is an artistic rendering of the many stories which his four daughters, thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren so love to gather around him to hear. Rufus and his wife of fifty-one years, Joyce, live in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
