One of the topics is about one of her son's death, criminal structures, the authorities who cover the narcotics business, prisons, Russian authority which "serves" and "protects" and many other similar aspects will be met in this book. But this isn't a detective story. One of the main points in the book is to show the absence of freedom of speech, especially for journalists in Russia. In the book you will see the psychological side of Russian cops. How the officers tend to prove themselves by physically and psychologically breaking people by having a prior status i.e. having the badge. The tragic results of the woman's son's first syringe, which had a dreadful affect on the whole family, first of all destroying the mother and the family, then himself. The book has glimpse of the communist regime as well. The book has 2-parts: Russia - England. The main character in the book had to leave Russia. A clear comparison is shown between the British police force and the Russian police, the character's private life, the Russian crime in London and other. The events occur in Russia up to year 2002, and in England from 2002 and onwards. The book is based on real events.
