Through tenacity as a mother, she finally discovered the supernatural transforming power of being reunited with her Creator, and her soul was ignited by the Savior of her destiny. LaNette embraced the wisdom and knowledge held within God-breathed Scripture and internalized the absolute truth. She clearly reveals the generational strongholds and family behavioral patterns that can destroy us, relationships, and squelch our God-given purpose, gifts, and talents.

LaNette has been a work-in-progress servant for Christ for over 15 years. She is an author/speaker/singer and has a degree in Psychology/Christian Counseling from Liberty University. She has worked with troubled youth with her husband for many years, which includes foster care. LaNette has completed her autobiography, a children’s book with her granddaughter Marissa, and recorded three album projects, two with her daughter ShyAnn, in Nashville, Tennessee. Ron and LaNette have been married for 25 years, have three children and six grandchildren, and reside in Colorado. The couple feel led to build a new ministry outreach called LSM “Darkness 2 Light” to help the homeless, victims of domestic violence, sex trafficking, youth, and struggling women and families.

The Shipleys aspire to donate this book to individuals incarcerated, in treatment, domestic violence shelters, and the homeless. Contributions for the organizational needs of “Darkness 2 Light” outreach projects and the “Ken Lords Homeless Mission” KLHM can be made to:
