If you've picked up this book, you either know a stepparent, are a stepparent, are a parent married to a stepparent, you may be having thoughts of becoming a stepparent, or you're the Grand-stepparent, the parental parent married to a stepparent, the brother or sister now known as an uncle or aunt related to the children now the children's stepparent through marriage your kin . . . huh? Huh? . . . Exactly my point. When we look at the potential family tree developing here, we see confusion. All the more so when you're the child involved in this lifestyle. I wrote this book and workbook, not as a writer on the subject who researched and came to a conclusion. No, I'm a witness who was raised in this adult/adolescent rebellion toward a standard of sane living. But my story growing up isn't as important as the stories that our nation is developing in our children . . . now. It's time for women to stop playing house with boyfriends and allowing children to be born into noncommitted households. It's time for our young men to be taught the value of women as an equal partner in life's journey and stop bouncing from this girl to that girl. It's time to stop using abortion clinics as a place of birth control, which causes an emotional scaring, numbing, and disconnection for the value of human life. Free sex is anything but free. Just look at our prison systems, court-custody battles, and cyclical society of superficial relationships. Sex has become the focus for something we use to serve our emotional void instead of its pure intent for an enveloping of two souls in the act of procreation and devotional love. Sex, something that was designed for good, is now only a self-serving distraction used for destruction. You may be thinking, "What does abortion, prison, or Christmas have to do with the step life?" Just checking . . . I haven't mentioned Christmas yet. Listen closely, . . . this union of two people that have preexisting families, who are now combining them
