Synopsis

What’s so Good about Feelin' Good? is a comprehensive discourse on the brain's system of punishment and rewards. It reveals how the brain provides incentives(good feelins) as a reward for engaging in tasks that assists it in it's effort to survive and unpleasant feelin's/discomfort to dissuade you from engaging in behaviors that may be detrimental to its survival. The resulting behaviors at either end of the spectrum will often assume the form of a compulsion/habit that overtime may become genetically ingrained and lead to a loss of homeostatic emotional balance that the individual may seek to supplement through behaviors that may be defined as compulsive in nature. The abusive use of * and alcohol are offered as an example of compulsion-driven behaviors that people develop to cope with the simple act of daily living.
