Larry was born and raised in the city of Chicago. He was always interested in math and science and excelled in those subjects. Being a lefty, he was always using the right side of his brain. The side, that was analytical and abstract. He was always trying to figure things out. After graduating from high-school, he became a pre-med major at the University of Illinois (Chicago). Due to life's unexpectantcies, he met his wife, got a job, had children, worked, drank off his frustrations, retired, and continued to pursue his goal in life.. After several failed attempts at pursuing success (a restaurant, a comic book hero, a tavern, a security consulting service, etc.), he eventually found solitude and contentment in just playing golf, and drinking Heineken. Always a dreamer, he has never given up in the pursuit of his dreams. Some of his dreams came true, some didn't, but he's never stopped dreaming, and he never will; always chasing the pursuit of happiness! He's always believed, in that old adage "dreams do come true, they can happen to you"! He suddenly realized one day after a drunken stupor, Almighty God, put him on the face of this Earth for a reason, and that reason wasn't just to play golf, and keep the Heineken brewing company in business! One day, as he was going through his normal routine, a light bulb suddenly came on. Every mode of communication in his immediate realm (television, radio, people conversing, etc.), consisted of losing weight, getting in shape, dieting, exercising, proper eating, obesity, or some other form of health consciousness. He realized, he knew how to control his weight, and thought it might be good to share this knowledge with those who didn't know how to control theirs. Being a believer in God, he realized, that light bulb that came on was a light from God, and God wanted him to write this book!
