Synopsis

In Great Controversies of the Bible, Robert Ramia-Enríquez presents a serious, non-religious analysis of the Bible, with scientific and historical references regarding inconsistencies and contradictions. He later experienced an inner religious crisis after studying the Papacy, the Inquisition, and above all the social injustice and horror wrought upon mankind by wars inspired by religions promising invincibility to some and havoc and destruction to others. Robert Ramia-Enríquez believes that faith is a highly personal commitment and that the possible existence of a higher being is nothing more than just a notion. He therefore does not accept that any person can act as the delegate of a higher being or exercise the duty of representing God among others.
