Synopsis

Jake Dunn is on a twenty-day hike deep in the Sierra Mountains seeking solitude, wildlife photos, and clarity for a better future. When he steps on a granite boulder and aims his camera at the valley below, he stares through the lens in total disbelief-the unexpected has just arrived. When Sarah Martin, daughter of the notable Senator Stuart Martin, meets Jake in the most unlikely of places, she must rely on him for assistance after a tragic accident. The last thing Sarah wants is to begin a new relationship. Unfortunately she is unable to deny the attraction that is rapidly growing between her and Jake. Meanwhile Senator Martin-the handsome and charismatic forerunner for the Presidency-is pushing hard to achieve his longtime goal and no one is allowed on his journey to the White House without his personal invite-Jake included. When Jake discovers potential evidence that may link Senator Martin to a heinous crime, he must call upon his instincts, life experiences, and best friend, Dr. Charles Reed, to help him make a critical decision that not only puts his own life in jeopardy, but the lives of countless others.
