It's April 2000 and stock prices are beginning to tremble, but that won't stop cinderbloc corporation from meeting its destiny on Wall Street. Told through the eyes of Sarah Matthews and Ben Carling, two earnest young employees at cinderbloc, "Two Guys" is a look at our peculiar American business behavior and its penchant for encouraging financial self-destruction. Railroads, Gold, Junk Bonds, Dot-coms - the list could go on - and American financial history is littered with the wreckage of these speculative frenzies. Investors try to ride the Bull and avoid the Bear, cheering our brave bankers and traders as our collective wealth grows. More often than not, the speculation turns to disppointment and worthless paper, but by that time, the next opportunity is just around the corner...

This is John Ruud's first novel, though he has a background in writing and in business. In addition to short stories and a non-fiction book, he has published three feature articles for E-learning Magazine, a trade journal. John holds a Master's in Business Administration and studied Political Science and Literature as an undergraduate. Born and raised in Southern California, he has also lived in Washington, DC and Antibes, France.
