Synopsis

Three powerful plays in one volume, delivering raw human drama and gripping character clashes. This collection brings together Eugene O’Neill’s early works in a compact edition, offering stark portraits of family strain, ambition, and social tension across distinct settings.

In these pieces, readers encounter vivid, forceful storytelling that moves from intimate domestic conflicts to larger questions of power, destiny, and resistance. The collection pairs intimate domestic scenes with larger-than-life confrontations, all carried by brisk dialogue and stark stage directions.

  • Razor‑sharp family dynamics and moral tension unfold on a crowded Irish‑American porch in one drama.

  • A bold portrait of authority, danger, and manipulation plays out on a tropical island in another.

  • Hard-edged conversations about love, loyalty, money, and risk drive the third, set in a rough urban world.

Ideal for readers seeking classic American drama, textured character studies, and plays that challenge social norms while delivering unforgettable stage moments.
