Richard Simonetti is from Bauru, São Paulo, Brazil. He was born on October 10, 1935. He comes from a Spiritist family and has participated in the Spiritist movement since very early in his life. He works at the Centro Espírita Amor e Caridade (Love and Charity Spiritist Center) (www.ceac.org.br), which offers substantial services in the areas of doctrinal teachings as well as social assistance and support. Richard Simonetti was the first to voice the intention of developing a Spiritist Book Club, which is very instrumental in the dissemination of the doctrine in a number of cities. He is a prolific writer of articles for Spiritist newspapers and magazines, especially for Reformador [Reformer], Revista Internacional de Espiritismo [The International Spiritist Magazine], and Pagina Espirita [Spiritist Page]. He is retired from the Banco do Brasil (Bank of Brazil) and travels throughout Brazil lecturing and disseminating the Spiritist Doctrine.
