Synopsis

From a Washington insider comes a riveting spy thriller in which politically incorrect, staunchly conservative Boston P.I. Ian Wallace—an ex-CIA field officer—comes face to face with the KGB colonel who ended his CIA career.

Washington insider Douglas MacKinnon’s dramatic, pulse-pounding spy thriller pits a fanatically conservative private investigator against the Russian mafia assassin who ended his CIA career.

Twenty years ago, Ian Wallace watched coldhearted KGB colonel Vladimir Ivanchenko brutally murder the love of his life. Now the devil is in Boston on a twisted mission, and Wallace has teamed up with irresistibly sexy, tough-as-nails CIA agent Kathy Donahue to get his revenge. Their orders are to guard Ivanchenko’s target, an obnoxious big government–loving MIT professor whose research is a matter of national security. But soon Wallace’s bloodthirst reveals his own evil nature, and as growing tension between the partners scares Donahue away, even Wallace doesn’t know to what maniacal extreme he will go to bury his darkest secrets.
