About The Author: Glenna Glee was born Feb. 1, 1918, to Adalaska Ellsworth and Lou Eva Weir, in Anderson, IN, and has lived there all her life. She graduated AndersonHigh School in 1935 and married Robert Paul Williamson in 1939, with whom she had two sons.. She has one grandson, and three great grandchildren. Herbeloved husband died at fifty-two and she remarried four years later to a retired Army Major who died four years later. In her younger years she playedorganized softball (pitcher) and basketball. She built and flew model airplanes, has been active in Civic Theater, ballroom dancing, and traveled withfriends all over the country after the loss of her husbands. She is also a Certified Master Graphoyst (Handwriting). She began writing poetry as aneighth grade English assignment, had two poems in her High School Annual, and over the years has amassed tens of thousands of poems. She is the currentpresident of the Indiana State Federation of Poetry Clubs and has served in that capacity several times and was named Poet Laureate of thatorganization in 1980-81 and again in 2002-04. . She is editor of their newsletter. She was Youth Director for the National Federation of State PoetrySocieties for several years and has attended 33 consecutive conventions of that organization. She is a contest winner with her poetry, loves life andlives it to the fullest. Previously, she has published two books of poetry, "As I See It" and "Green Monster" a study in jealousy. She has severalsmaller chapbooks.
