Synopsis

What is prayer? Is there a distinctive Lutheran understanding of prayer? What have people since the Reformation, especially in contemporary Christian circles, taught about prayer? Charles St-Onge uses specific texts on prayer, ancient and modern, to look at the question of what we are doing when we address God and the role prayer should play in Christian spirituality.
