Synopsis

The battle was ended. The last dragon put out the fires and divided the people into factions. Gemite and Sylvan he charged with responsibility of their world, saying, "I will not save you again, from your recklessness." Then he made a prediction. "A wizard of mixed blood will end your separation when a warrior of human blood restores justice in her land." After many ages, human encroachment calls Gemite and Sylvan to examine this new race. Elves were once aggressive and violent. So now, humans fight each other with no regard for things destroyed. If they learn to conjure the magical fire, the world will again lie in peril. Sylvan and Gemite still have a few petty bigotries yet to overcome. So, while the last great dragon sleeps, it is up to the children of his prophecy to avert disaster.

Machine tools are my trade, but my experience in entertainment reaches back to childhood. In the games children play, I couldn't decide whether to be a Cowboy or an Indian, a super sleuth detective or a gentleman thief. So I decided to be an actor where I could play any part. This led to many character studies and books on subjects like psychology, history, and fantasy adventure. My tastes are somewhat eclectic since I never could pin down one favorite subject. By nature I'm a bit of a thrill seeker. Though, a growing sense of mortality forces me to decline those life threatening adventures of a reckless youth. Adventure, now, is mostly found in fiction, fantasy, and the telling of tales. Fantasy is best, I think, because the only things that are real are the only things that really matter; how we feel, how we think, how we cope with the everyday things that spiral out of our control. It can all be found wrapped in the pages of a good story. All I need to share that is an audience, and to remember where I put my reading glasses.
