The authors are British citizens with backgrounds in law and computer programming who have extensive experience of the U.S, having bought their first home in Florida in 1997 and having moved out to live in the States in 2003. They have run four separate businesses in the U.S. on two different visas ( E-2 and L-1) and have also put a child through school and eventually college on an F-1 student visa. They have also lived in France and Portugal. They have written a book which attempts to explain the process of immigration to the U.S. in simpler more layman's terms than many books written on the subject and to give their personal experiences as well as explaining the law. They hope to have written a book which is both realistic and informative not only about immigration but about the whole process of moving to live in the U.S.
